Justino De Lara

WWII VETERAN

Justino De Lara is a 102 year old veteran who survived the fall of Corregidor in May 1942, was a prisoner of war in Capas Tarlac and was freed in September of 1942 by the Japanese after they were made to swear that they would not take up arms against the Japanese. Needless to say, not too many took this pledge seriously. Most went back to being guerrillas.
